Principal's Message
Greetings Pirates of All Ages!!

It is a pleasure to be at San Pedro High School, working with a wonderful staff and amazing students! This first month has brought about a focus on data, a surge of energy around teaching and learning, and some fantastic wins in academics and in sports!

WASC is revisiting our campus in the spring and our Academic Curriculum Council and our staff are working to ensure that our action plan addressing the Corrective Actions is strong! Soon, we will be holding a meeting to ask for parent input and involvement directly related to our WASC accreditation process! We need our parents!!

Our school has been named a Focus School by the Los Angeles Unified School District. We are in the initial stages of planning to go through a process whereby San Pedro High School creates a plan for student achievement. We will be hosting critical Focus Group meetings to obtain parent input and ideas directly related to the success of our school.

This school year will be a year of implementing instructional strategies for engagement, critical thinking, and real life applications. Continue to be involved in our school community and to monitor the success of your students! We are all intently focused on making sure that each and every child meets their learning potential!!

Sincerely,
Jeanette Stevens
